Your Journey Awaits

At Positive Intentions, LLC—voted the Poconos’ Best Mental Health Provider in the Community’s Choice Awards—we don’t just offer therapy. We deliver high-quality, ethically grounded care that actually moves the needle. Our mission is simple: help people feel better, function better, and build a life that feels more steady, connected, and worth showing up for.

We provide a safe, supportive space for real work—whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship or family stress, burnout, or major life transitions. Our approach is compassionate and personalized, but also practical: we focus on insight, coping skills, emotional regulation, and lasting change—not surface-level fixes.

We’re proud to serve the Poconos with a team that shows up with empathy, integrity, and high standards—every session, every client, every time. If you’re ready for therapy with intention (and a practice that takes your care seriously), you’re in the right place.

Our Services

At Positive Intentions, LLC, we provide high-quality in-person and telehealth counseling, clinical supervision, and consulting—grounded in compassion, integrity, and real results. Our clinicians don’t “coast” on a license; we stay sharp. Our team commits to weekly professional development to remain current, clinically effective, and aligned with best practices.

We hold ourselves to a high standard—ethically, clinically, and administratively—because your care deserves consistency and excellence. Whether you’re overwhelmed, stuck in the same patterns, navigating a major transition, or simply ready to feel better, we’re here to help you build insight, regulation, and practical tools that actually translate into daily life.

Individual Counseling & Psychotherapy

At Positive Intentions, LLC, individual counseling isn’t “just talking.” It’s a space to finally exhale, get honest about what’s not working, and build the tools to change it—without judgment and without fluff. If you’ve been pushing through anxiety, depression, trauma symptoms, burnout, or feeling stuck in the same patterns, therapy can help you feel steadier, clearer, and more in control.

Our clinicians provide personalized psychotherapy that meets you where you are and helps you move forward with intention. We focus on real-life skills, emotional regulation, insight, and practical change you can actually use between sessions. Whether you need support through a life transition, help managing stress, or a place to process what you’ve carried for too long, you don’t have to do it alone.

We offer in-person and telehealth options to make getting started easier. If you’ve been thinking, “Maybe I should talk to someone,” this is your sign.

Couples Counseling

Children ages 5+

Welcome to Positive Intentions, LLC.

Couples therapy isn’t about deciding who’s “right.” It’s about getting real about what’s happening between you—without blame spirals, shutdowns, or repeating the same fight in different outfits. If communication keeps breaking down, trust feels shaky, intimacy has faded, or you’re stuck in a cycle you can’t seem to fix, this is where you reset.

Our therapists help couples slow things down, understand the pattern underneath the conflict, and learn concrete tools that actually work in real life—how to communicate differently, repair after rupture, rebuild trust, and create a relationship that feels safer, steadier, and more connected. Whether you’re trying to strengthen what’s already good or fighting for the relationship you know is possible, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

We offer in-person and telehealth options. If you’ve been thinking, “We can’t keep doing this,” this is your sign to get support.

At Positive Intentions, LLC, we provide counseling for children ages 5+ to help them feel safer in their own bodies, handle big emotions, and build confidence—without shaming, labeling, or “just behave” expectations.

If your child is struggling with anxiety, sadness, anger, emotional outbursts, transitions (divorce, moves, school changes), social stress, or low self-esteem, therapy can give them tools early—so problems don’t get bigger with time. Our child counselors use age-appropriate strategies to teach emotional regulation, coping skills, communication, and healthy boundaries in ways kids can actually understand and use.

We partner with parents/caregivers, too—because when adults have the right tools, kids do better. If you’ve been thinking, “I don’t want them to struggle like this,” this is your sign to get support now.
